Diving in Kona Hawaii

March 9th, 2004 by James

Sarah and I went to the Big Island at the end of February for a friend’s wedding as well as my birthday which also fell in that week. The weather was pretty bad but I still managed to get in 5 dives while I was there, 2 boat dives with Dive Makai and 3 shore dives.

Hawkfish, Longnose Butterfly, and a Lizardfish

This was my first dive with the D100 so I worked on fish portraits using a single strobe. Most of my shots were underexposed - probably because I was using the LCD for exposure confirmation and I should have calibrated it first, or used the histogram.
