Electrical Storm Photos

Wednesday night a cold front rolled through with a LOT of electrical activity. Before the rain started, I set up my camera and tripod and captured some long exposures. I don’t have one of those doo-dangles that presses the shutter when it sees lightning, so instead, I used a wideangle lens and longer exposures to capture the lightning. The Canon 1DmkII is amazing for long exposures - even with no noise reduction, 30s exposures look excellent:
