Offshore for Mardi Gras Pipeline Commissioning

Here are some photos from my last trip out to Thunder Horse for BP Mardi Gras pipeline commissioning. The derrick/pipelay barge Balder was laying the oil pipeline, with the gas pipeline already installed.
Other vessels in the area are the Skandi Neptune, laying umbilicals, the Edda Fjord, serving as a “flotel” for personnel, and the Union Manta - the Balder’s tender and deepwater anchor handling vessel.
