We were in San Diego last week for vacation and took Henry to meet his great grandma and grandpa “Cookie.” What a cool experience – we are lucky to have so many generations! I only got to meet my great grandfather once before he died and all of the other great grandparents were already gone.

My parents have a fabulous Pride of Madeira bush that is full bloom this week. It has attracted dozens of hummingbird moths that feed mainly at night but also during the daytime too. Here are a few photos of these interesting insects.

Henry loves going hiking in his baby backpack – because he has a great view of everything. And I have this suspicion that he thinks he’s “driving” me around – lol! The feeling is reinforced when he grabs my hair and pulls up on the reins
