Sarah, Henry, and I have gone camping twice this month – our last chance before it gets REALLY hot. Our first camping trip w/ Henry here in TX was to Sam Houston national forest – because it’s close. But this past weekend we made the long drive to Lost Maples and camped a couple of nights out there. We were lucky and had awesome weather. It rained like he** both nights but was beautiful during the day.

I photographed the Vida del Baile show on Cinco de Mayo for Dance Houston at the Wortham Center. The experience was awesome – this was my first time seeing the show and it was just an excellent photography opportunity.

Hummingbird Moths in San Diego

My parents have a fabulous Pride of Madeira bush that is full bloom this week. It has attracted dozens of hummingbird moths that feed mainly at night but also during the daytime too. Here are a few photos of these interesting insects.

Henry loves going hiking in his baby backpack – because he has a great view of everything. And I have this suspicion that he thinks he’s “driving” me around – lol! The feeling is reinforced when he grabs my hair and pulls up on the reins
